About this Opportunity
As an Associate Sales Tools Specialist - Customer Marketing, you'll partner with internal customers to continually improve the marketing approach for Herman Miller Salespeople. You will develop custom marketing material for specific project opportunities and work with various internal teams to support the sales process and Herman Miller messaging. You'll also manage all aspects of the work from concept to delivery, including print and electronic media.


What You'll Do

  • Conduct the necessary research to write and revise content to meet sales objectives.
  • Conduct thorough proofreading, editing, and writing, and ensure that the appropriate brand and editorial guidelines are followed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Sales organization and dealers to understand their needs and develop marketing solutions in support of their sales plans and objectives.
  • Develop marketing content with a visual look and feel that represents the Herman Miller brand, using a gifted eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
  • Repurpose and edit existing content to support the sales process.
  • Define and assign work to partners and work groups with guidance from Sales Tools Specialists. You'll also monitor and control work in process and manage assigned projects to timely completion.
  • Write content for brochures, presentations, handouts, mockups, etc., with guidance from Sales Tools Specialists to support client-specific sales strategies.
  • Work closely with internal and external Graphic Designers to architect and implement the overall look and feel of each marketing deliverable.
  • Work directly with the Sales Team to provide effective sales tools, often with demanding, fast-turnaround deadlines.

You might be just who we’re looking for if you have . . .

  • A Bachelor's degree in Communications or Marketing, or related experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in corporate, employee, or marketing communications project management with editorial experience.
  • Demonstrated talent and proficiency in planning, analytical thinking, writing, and editing.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical knowledge of graphic arts and print production processes.
  • A demonstrated ability to use office automation tools and design tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • The ability to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
