Job Description
  • Provides expertise and/or advisement to project teams for implementation of advanced design technology techniques.
  • Research, specify and guide information from design to operations – client needs, handover standards development and make ready for operational state
  • Utilizes specialist knowledge to conduct complex data modeling, data management, analysis and/or optimization of asset data
  • Lead and/or participate meetings to develop client asset profile
  • This may include client groups, third party vendors and/or IT
  • Formulate long term asset information strategy – transition from C&D to operational use
  • Implement connection to BIM and model based software applications and tools
  • Provides feedback on project-based activities to the firmwide buildingSMART team.
  • Can be a resource and team member in all phases of the project.
  • Maintains current knowledge of design software, industry developments in integrated practice, and other applicable techniques.
  • Devotes time to research new and upcoming technologies.
  • Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.


  • Travel may be required.

Required Skills
  • Advanced knowledge in building information modeling programs and applicable techniques.
  • Expertise in Revit required.
  • Experience with information exchange standards, classification and space measurement standards such as COBie, BOMA, OMNI class, etc.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Outlook, Word and Excel required.
  • Understanding of database and data dictionary structures
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills with MS SQL Server database, scripting and programming language.
  • Understanding of the link between the CAFM/IWMS/CMMS systems and the use of its information.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into written documents.
  • Knowledge about sustainability, integrated design, and LEED guidelines.
  • Ability to effectively manage and mentor a team.
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to produce deliverables with little guidance.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, information technology or a related discipline required.
  • 5 years’ progressive experience in BIM/3D Modeling.
  • 5 years’ experience in IWMS (Integrated Workplace Management Systems), CMMS, or CAFM systems and their use is preferred
  • LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.
