**Job Summary**

The Environment Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented, and motivated Intermediate Level Civil/Environmental Engineer for immediate employment in the Indianapolis, IN office. The team is responsible for a wide range of designs and evaluations typically centering on the permitting, evaluation, design, and construction administration of civil/environmental engineering projects. The successful candidate will be involved with study-phase, design-phase, and construction-phase projects related to the civil, power, environmental, construction and industrial fields. Projects will be performed under the direction of the Project Manager and/or Project Director in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Group.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:



+ Provide support for senior/lead engineers and project managers with respect to the designing, planning, and performing engineering duties on projects that include the prevention, control, and remediation of environmental health hazards utilizing various engineering disciplines

+ The team is responsible for a wide range of designs and evaluations typically centering around the permitting, evaluation, design and construction administration of civil/environmental engineering projects

+ Perform assignments including calculations, engineering drawing preparation, document generation, technical writing, cost estimation, technical specifications, review of regulations, and other related services associated with the full scope of a civil/environmental engineering design project

+ Interact with multi-discipline and multi-office teams within AECOM



**Minimum Requirements**



+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field,

+ 2+ years of civil/environmental engineering experience,

+ Engineer in Training (EIT) certification,

+ Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as additional versions of, AutoCAD, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models or other drainage and water modeling software),

+ Ability to perform engineering calculations and be familiar with standard civil design concepts,

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook),

+ Strong organizational, technical and communication skills,

+ Ability to work independently or within a team environment,

+ Willing to travel, if required, to provide field resident engineering oversight on jobs that may potentially last several days or weeks, and

+ Valid Driver's License required



**Preferred Qualifications**



+ Professional Engineer (PE)

+ AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency
