Role Description

The candidate must be knowledgeable with city design, software programming and code development, but most importantly be inspired about computational design analysis with ambitions to explore methods of reading the city through data, spatial analysis and alternative methods of visualization.

What you will do:

  • Develop, collaborate and contribute to urban projects
  • Prepare materials and production of products for presentations that communicate design analysis, design process and concepts.
  • Research new and emerging technologies related to data and computation to inform future initiatives.
  • integrate data-driven planning concepts into the design workflow.
  • Create new computational design tools and workflows for use by project teams.
  • Work with a diverse team of urban designers, architects, and landscape architects.
  • Contribute to office activities, initiative and learning programs


  • Professional degree related to architecture, interior design, engineering, or manufacturing.
  • 2 to 4 years of related work experience (within the AEC industry, preferred).
  • Experience in collaborating with design teams to deliver design excellence.
  • Hands on experience integrating complex datasets into the design process and digital workflow.
  • Expert-level knowledge in the use of common computational design software such as Grasshopper or Dynamo.
  • Strong knowledge of computer programming and code development for design research
  • Experience and knowledge in master planning, architecture, spatial design, spatial visualization, GIS, and data mining.
  • Ability to work in a creative environment in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
