Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Contracts Administrator to focus on administration of contracts for selling services to and in support of our primary customers, which include the U.S. Government, Government prime contractors, and non-U.S. Government entities. The CA will perform contract administration functions during all phases of the contract process: pre-award, award, post-award administration and closeout. This will include, but is not limited to, supporting proposals, prioritizing contract actions, assisting with resolution of customer matters, and ensuring proper understanding of contract terms and conditions. Research, analyze, coordinate, develop and maintain documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures, Government regulations, and contractual requirements.

Position can be located in Germantown, MD or Chantilly, VA.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Participate in business development initiatives including issuing and negotiating Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Teaming Agreements (TAs). Support development and review of proposals including contract and business information, small business subcontracting data/plans, and cost volumes ensuring compliance with RFPs and Company procedures. Prepare the formal proposal submission to the customer and assist Contracts Manager with negotiations as required. Participate in contract set-up process upon award.

  • Provide all aspects of contract post-award administration. Ensure contract requirements are met including monitoring cost status, assisting in cost management, and coordinating issue resolution with customers. Assisting program and project personnel in interpretation of contract requirements.

  • Coordinate with accounting department in overseeing contract and task order funding and administering contract invoicing and payments, job cost management, contract audit/filing and close-out process.

  • Coordinate, develop, and produce a wide range of complex contract documentation in response to customer inquiries, to address project contractual issues, and as otherwise required for the compliant and complete administration of the contract. Responsible for effectively collaborating with the Contracts Manager as well as both internal and external customers to successfully achieve this task.

  • Prioritize a multitude of tasks to provide the optimal response to external customers and internal stakeholders during the life of assigned contracts and task orders.

  • Assist the compliance department and others with audits and reviews of contracts and responding to data calls.

  • Participate in company-required training on a variety of subjects as well as training events for the development of individual skills and career advancement.

  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) for compliant execution and administration of proposal efforts and contracts.

  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years experience (preferred, may substitute advanced education)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar field

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OCONUS Government contracts performed primarily outside the U.S. is a plus
