Job Description

General

  • Provides expertise and/or advisement to project teams for implementation of advanced design technology techniques.
  • Provides feedback on project-based activities to the firmwide buildingSMART team.
  • Can be a resource and team member in all phases of the project.
  • Maintains current knowledge of design software, industry developments in integrated practice, and other applicable techniques.
  • Devotes time to research new and upcoming technologies
  • May contribute to the production of project deliverables.
  • Acts as mentor by coaching and motivating project team members in the use of advanced technologies.
  • Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.

 

Gaming and Visualization

  • Utilizes specialist knowledge of game engines and visualization tools to aid in the development of images, video, walk-throughs and game environments.
  • Utilizing scripting UI or languages to customize user experiences and interaction modes.
  • Expertise in working with photogrammetry, point cloud and other asset data types.
  • Advocates and experiments with different types of VR and AR representations.

OTHER:

  • Travel may be required.
  • Overtime may be required.
Required Skills
  • Advanced knowledge in geometry optimization and rendering.
  • Proficiency in visualization software such as Vray, 3D Max, Unreal, Unity, Lumion, Twinmotion, InstaLOD, Simplgon; including the ability to configure these programs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Outlook, Word and Excel required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge about sustainability, integrated design, and LEED guidelines.
  • Ability to effectively manage and mentor a team.
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, information technology or a related discipline required.
  • 3 years’ progressive experience in Game Engines and Visualization.
  • LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.
