**Job Summary**

Job Summary

The Director, Audit Services reports to the Corporate Vice President, Audit Services and is responsible for the execution of projects and management of staff to support the organization’s annual audit roadmap.

Specific Responsibilities:

+ Lead multiple teams on projects that evaluate parts of businesses to identify opportunities to standardize, simplify and improve processes.

+ Recommend solutions for remediation of issues in a timely manner.

+ Develop and foster working relationships with executives in the operational areas of responsibility.

+ Complete periodic risk assessments and appropriate adjustments to audit plan.

+ Carry-out the audit plan as approved and/or modified by the Corporate Vice President, Audit Services and/or the Audit Committee.

+ Manages a comprehensive audit approach (policies, procedures, processes, controls and measures in accordance with professional standards.

+ Collaborates with Legal, Ethics, Risk Management and other organization assurance groups on risk assessment planning.

+ Communicates with external auditors to ensure proper audit coverage, elimination of duplication of effort, and improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of audit activities.

+ Ensures that audit report observations and/or control deficiencies are adequately communicated and remediated by operating management and senior management. Works with operating management to ensure that remediation plans are appropriate and are implemented in a timely manner.

+ Manages co-sourcing arrangements on an engagement-by-engagement basis, as applicable.

+ Manages special projects as requested by the Corporate Vice President, Audit Services.

+ Mentors audit team members to develop their financial and soft skills.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or other related discipline. A graduate degree is preferred.

+ Minimum of 10 – 12 years of experience in public accounting and/or industry is required.

+ Experience in one or more large public and global companies is required.

+ A professional certifications such as a CPA or CIA is required.

+ Periodic travel (up to 30%) including international travel may be required.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills.

+ Proven track record of dependability, leadership skills and a high standard of personal integrity.

+ Excellent influencing and decision making skills.

+ Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, business processes, and COSO and IIA standards.

+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

+ Working knowledge of auditing, business management and process improvement principles (e.g., Six Sigma)

+ Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead effectively in a cross-divisional and cross-cultural environment.

+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent professional and administrative projects.

+ Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience auditing in the engineering/construction/architecture industry.
