**Job Summary**

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Contaminated Land Consultant to join our highly regarded and dynamic Geoscience and Remediation Services workgroup based in Perth. You will work with a team of environmental engineers, scientists and hydrologists, providing contaminated land assessment and remediation consulting on a wide range of projects, including working with large international oil and gas, mining and public sector clients across WA and further afield.

* Project team member on a variety of contaminated land projects, including preliminary and detailed site investigations, groundwater and soil vapour monitoring events, compliance monitoring and site remediation.

* Supervision of all intrusive investigation and remediation programs, including drilling programs, installation of groundwater and soil vapour monitoring wells, probes and sub-slab pins, subsurface service clearance, elevation surveying, and sampling of environmental media including soil, sediment, surface water, soil vapour, groundwater.

* All aspects of field work preparation, including production of health and safety plans, coordination of subcontractors and vendors, preparation of equipment and laboratory containers, arrangement of couriers, travel arrangements and other mobilisation/de-mobilisation considerations.

You will be required to work closely with our project teams to undertake work programs designed to provide innovative and progressive project solutions for our clients. As such, we need an experienced professional, who possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, and who is able to quickly respond to challenging project needs. You will split your time between our office in Perth and field work, therefore an ability and willingness to work remotely in the field, often in rural Western Australia, is required.

**Minimum Requirements**

* Minimum 2 years’ demonstrated experience in a professional contaminated land consultancy setting, including developing knowledge in the areas of project management.

* Extensive experience and knowledge of contaminated land field methodologies, including supervision of drilling programs, service clearance, elevation surveying, soil sampling, groundwater gauging purging and sampling, soil vapour leak testing, and soil vapour purging and sampling.

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geoscience, hydrology, soil science, geotechnical engineering or a related discipline.
