Gensler’s Seattle office was established in 2000 to provide services in architectural and workplace design to the Puget Sound Region.  Our clients include financial services, professional services firms, corporate and regional headquarters, advertising, retail, academia, museums, and transportation. 

We are seeking an intermediate level interiors designer with a hospitality and/or residential background to join our dynamic team of 60 professionals in an award winning office!

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Design Director(s) and project team(s) on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
  • Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
  • Produce graphic presentations, physical models, 3D renderings, and construction drawings
  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Design or Architecture, with a rigorous design education
  • 7-10 years of  design experience, with a background hospitality and/or hi-rise residential
  • Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Outstanding graphic presentation skills
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
  • Outstanding graphic presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
  • Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, and 3ds Max preferred
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and SketchUp preferred
