Your Role

As a Gensler Intermediate Project Architect, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. As a member of workplace interiors teams, you will be a part of a team that creates impactful and inspiring spaces. 

What You Will Do

  • Manage multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)
  • Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants and building and permitting officials
  • Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges
  • Direct and produce drawings, specifications and construction administration tasks
  • Responsible for oversight and delivery of documents with design intent and top-notch technical quality
  • Resolves complex technical/design issues and detailing and provides guidance and mentorship to team
  • Maintain the project manual and specifications
  • Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews
  • Process submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFI
  • Actively participate and contribute to the financial performance of project
  • Ensure projects conform to contract
  • Actively leading teams for successful delivery of projects
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs
  • Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships through successful project delivery

Your Qualifications

  • Registered Architect and LEED accreditation preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school required
  • 7 - 10+ years of experience in a commercial design firm; interior architecture experience preferred
  • Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, 3DMax, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office
  • Working knowledge of building codes, building construction and building structures
  • Revit experience required
  • Experience with the entire project lifecycle and design process through post-occupancy
  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
  • A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent written + verbal communication and client relationship management skills
  • Collaborative and team-conscious
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with tact, grace and style
  • Must have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships through successful project delivery
