**Job Summary**

Opportunity for an IT Specialist to support of a Government program office. Will provide technical implementation, configuration, monitoring, audit, administration, and support of network solutions to support the program and business operations in support of critical Government Acquisition tasks.

Job responsibilities:

1. Provide support for wide and local area network implementations while supporting all Government network security guidelines and processes.

2. Manage network performance to maintain high quality transmission service on the network.

3. Establish and maintain the network and component/ancillary items

4. Utilize monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software and hardware equipment to trouble shoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance and trace data and protocol activity.

5. Install systems and trains customer to use new or changed applications.

6. Begin to plan research, evaluate and recommend new computer network equipment and technologies.

7. Devise solutions to moderately complex operational problems within the capacity and operation limitations of installed equipment.

8. Directs on-site customer interface for program guidance, testing, systems analysis, and other system related tasks as needed.

9. Prepares detailed documented requirements for selected activities (i.e., data management, configuration management, program management, etc.)

10. Manages life-cycle sustainment of IT equipment.

11. Plans and manages the implementation and integration of new technologies and updates to commercial software

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

**Minimum Requirements**

Associate’s degree or technical diploma/degree in Computer Science, math, engineering or Information Technology with 7+ years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, math, engineering or Information Technology with at least 2 - 4 years of job-related experience or equivalent for similar Government Program Offices. Excellent communications and analytical skills; demonstrated working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Experience in network and server administration, desktop hardware and software support.

Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

Position requires strong analytical, interpersonal and project management skills. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Position may require travel.

Position requires successfully passing a pre-employment drug screen and a government background check.

Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

Position requires strong analytical, interpersonal and project management skills. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
