Gensler’s San Antonio Project Office is seeking a creative, motivated, and highly collaborative individual to join our team as a Junior Architectural Technician focused primarily on architectural projects. This position will participate as an integral team member on architectural projects, and potentially on interior projects, throughout the design process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project team leadership in coordinating execution of design intent into the construction documentation, specifications, and throughout construction administration.
  • Manage project timelines, schedules, resources and project budget.
  • Resolve complex technical/design issues and provides guidance to team and consultants.
  • Participate in and lead team discussions on technical and other project related issues.
  • Prepare and ensure accuracy of technical documents.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in architectural practice
  • Must have a Professional degree (Masters or Bachelor) in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited program.  Architectural Registration in process or completed.
  • LEED accreditation is preferred 
  • Computer skills required include; REVIT, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp and other 3D sketch software.  MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Experience with master planning, new commercial buildings and renovation preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction document preparation, bid review, construction administration and field observation
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Collaborative nature and experience with broad project teams
  • Solid communication skills and ability to professionally interact with colleagues and clients
  • Good judgment and ability to work within defined schedules and task management
  • Must be able to multi-task, be a team player, possess a can-do attitude, and be a self-starter
