Gensler San Francisco is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This is the entry level position on our team; it holds great opportunities for learning and growth, and can provide the launching point for an outstanding career in this industry.

A marketing coordinator is the key producer of materials that support Gensler’s direct business development efforts. They must be expert users of InDesign, be extremely detail-minded with a love for organization, and be comfortable working on multiple projects and collaborating with a variety of Marketing and technical personnel. Our Marketing Coordinators work under the direction of the Marketing Manager and Regional Marketing Director but often assist one or more Marketing Specialists to help craft qualifications documents, proposals, presentations, and other materials. They may also be called upon to coordinate project tours when required, acting as point of contact and managing all logistics to plan and execute group visits to selected local Gensler project sites. In this role, they will maintain our records on site availability, client points of contact, and any special considerations (e.g. maximum number of visitors, good or bad days to visit) for each project site within the Bay Area.


The coordinator will also generally support the activities of the office/regional marketing team as directed, working with all sectors and learning about our overall business. We are an extremely supportive, collaborative, and tight-knit team and are looking for the perfect blend of skill and chemistry to enhance our mix.

Qualifications include:

  • Very strong InDesign skills, including proficiency with text styles, master pages, and other tools
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong writing skills and attention to typographic detail
  • Superior communication, organization, and customer service skills, and a desire to learn
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks amid changing needs and demands, maintaining a constant attention to detail
  • Ability to manage own time, to work both collaboratively and independently, and to perform effectively under tight deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Directly related marketing communications experience (generally 1-3 years) in an architecture or engineering firm is a plus.
  • Information design and layout experience is a plus
