Description

Project Manager

Gensler Tampa is seeking a Project Manager to manage, organize and coordinate project teams and team assignments to execute architectural projects. As a Project Manager at Gensler, you will join a highly creative, collaborative team dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence.
 

Responsibilites:

  • Manage multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination

  • Provide leadership to the team and client by communicating project objectives, contract scope, terms, and schedule 

  • Resolve complex technical and design issues

  • Maintain the project manual and specifications

  • Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews

  • Construction Administration including the processing of submittals, RFIs, substitution requests, etc. during construction

  • Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project

  • Prepare observation reports during construction

  • Assist in project close-out efforts including punch lists

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of relevant Project Manager experience with background in Landlord/Real Estate and Commercial Office Building design 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field

  • Revit experience is highly valued, use of AutoCAD will be necessary

  • Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures

  • Ability to understand how buildings are constructed and to create technical documents that succinctly describe the work to be done

  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills

  • Architectural license and LEED accreditation desirable
