**Job Summary**

Seeking a Project Engineer to serve as a technical leader in AECOM’s Chelmsford, MA hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality analysis group. This position will involve working on and leading staff in a wide range of hydraulic applications for water/wastewater projects locally, throughout the U.S., and abroad. The selected candidate will be working with some of AECOM’s foremost experts in water distribution and plant hydraulics and will be exposed to numerous high profile jobs throughout the country. Work will include projects on:

+ analysis, modeling, and design of water system distribution systems,

+ hydraulic transient (surge) analysis,

+ development of hydraulic profiles for water and wastewater treatment facilities,

+ provide design input and coordination for conveyance conduits and pipelines for state of the art treatment plants

+ equipment sizing for various control valves, distribution chambers and outlet structures.

Candidate must have a good sense of all of the aspects of the design of treatment facilities, pipelines, and pumping and storage facilities.

**Minimum Requirements**

Licensed Professional Engineer (must apply for Mass. PE if registered in another state)

5-10 Years’ Experience in combination of modeling and design of water/wastewater treatment facilities and distribution systems.

Strong technical writing skills as well as strong communication skills

Strong experience in one or more of the following distribution system modeling software platforms: InfoWater, WaterGEMS, H2OMap, and EPANET

Experience and knowledge of the use of ArcGIS, AutoCAD, MS-Access

Strong knowledge experience with MS-Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint

**Preferred Qualifications**

Master’s Degree is preferred

Experience leading projects and/or mentoring junior staff.

Strong experience in one or more of the following hydraulic transient modeling software platforms: Hammer, InfoSurge, Impulse, WANDA

Experience with marketing/proposal development including preparation of technical approaches and estimated levels of effort

Programming skills in Visual Basic, Python, C++, MatLab

Experience with other modeling areas (collection systems, receiving waters, CFD) considered a plus, but not required

Willingness to travel is helpful, but not required
