**Job Summary**



AECOM is actively seeking a Software Application Developer to be responsible for design, development, troubleshooting, debugging, integration and implementation of software systems. This work can be performed in either Elizabeth City, NC or Glen Burnie, MD.



Essential Responsibilities:



1. Analyzes and studies complex system requirements for deployment of new systems and services. Tests, debugs and refines the system procedure to improve performance.

2. Develops, modifies, applies and maintains developed standards for in-house products and processes

3. Provides technical guidance in IT engineering techniques and automated support tools

4. Contributes ideas and suggestions during design and technical meetings.

5. Follows documented software development standards and approaches.

6. Follows the defined visual style of the application.

7. Develops solutions based upon a defined specification and test plan.

8. Participates in department code reviews.

9. Performs unit testing of their work.

10. Completes work based upon the project schedule.

11. Works with the quality assurance tester to resolve any problems.

12. Participates in team design meetings.

13. Assists in the response to Helpdesk ticket support requests.

14. Continuously trains and learns from peers within the organization.

15. Works with technical staff to understand and to develop resolution of software problems.

16. Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements.

17. Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.



**Minimum Requirements**



+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology field (MIS, CIS, CS) or demonstrated equivalent

+ 5 or more years of experience in software development and systems analysis including at least 3 years developing web applications using Oracle Middleware Stack (Application Development Framework (ADF), Business Process Management (BPM), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), WebCenter Suite).

+ Essential Skills: Oracle WebCenter Content 11g, Java EE, Oracle MiddleWare, WebServices, and WebCenter Template design and coding. Preference would include Oracle WebCenter Portal and WebCenter Content Implementation Specialist certification.

+ Language proficiencies: HTML, CSS, Java, JSPs Javascript, Jquery.

+ Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

+ Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance which requires United States citizenship

+ Position may require travel.
