**Job Summary**

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Work with and lead an established team of structural engineers and technologists within a multidiscipline framework with a focus on the design of institutional, commercial and light industrial projects

+ Mentor less experienced engineers and provide them with technical guidance

+ Manage clients, business development and delivering quality service

+ Effectively manage projects and assist in driving the business by monitoring and managing budgets, revenues and profits

+ Identify and promote growth in key strategic markets as well as with key strategic clients

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution

+ 10+ years of relevant experience

+ Registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer or other Professional engineering body in Canada

+ Working knowledge of applicable local and national building codes and common structural engineering software

+ Experience leading engineering staff

+ Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team delivering projects varying in complexity and size/scope

+ Excellent Communication skills

+ Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships

+ Experience in the management of projects from inception to completion including proposal preparation, engineering contract preparation, scheduling, financial performance monitoring, quality management, risk analysis and client management

+ Knowledge of structural analysis and design, preparation of technical specifications, report writing, technical engineering support and inspection during construction related to vertical construction projects

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution

+ PMP designation
