**Job Summary**

**PLEASE NOTE: This position is contingent upon contract award.**

The Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection National Aircraft Maintenance Support program provides support a nationwide maintenance and logistics support program for its fleet of up to 200 fixed and rotary wing aircraft of various types and models, located at more than 30 civil and military airports along the nation's land borders and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

As a key member of the program management team, the Supply Manager will supervise a team comprised of buyers, supply clerks, and warehouse personnel. The Supply manager will forecast material demands, ensure stocks are available at the right quantities and locations to ensure uninterrupted flight operations, and will manage the supply chain.

Specific responsibilities include:

+ Manage inventories of tools, test equipment, parts, repairable components, consumable supplies, and benchstock.

+ Manage existing suppliers, identify new suppliers, and ensure they meet quality and other performance metrics.

+ Maintain knowledge of supply market.

+ Enter into BPAs and other strategic supplier relationships.

+ Forecast material demands based on flight hours.

+ Ensure staff monitors and tracks requisitions, performs follow-up inquiries, maintains current status, and receives the parts into inventory.

+ Dispose of excess stock.

+ Support annual and special inventories

+ Ensure management and control of shelf life and life-limited parts, sensitive material, hazardous materials, and pilferable assets.

+ Identify pending part obsolescence issues as well as alternative supply sources and mitigations.

+ Manage repairable assets, ensuring they are tracked from removal to return to inventory and exchange credits are received.

+ Ensure high value, mission critical, or special use assets are managed for highest visibility.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical warehouse environment with no unusual hazards, frequent lifting to 20-60 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

**Minimum Requirements**

Minimum of 10 years experience managing inventory and supply chain for aircraft parts.

Must have the ability to obtain a DHS CBP clearance.


+ Experience sourcing parts and managing suppliers of airframe, engine, propeller, rotor systems, avionics, mission systems, and support equipment for Airbus, Bell, Sikorsky, Cessna, Beech, and Pilatus aircraft.

+ Track record of ensuring parts availability for aircraft fleets in high operational tempo mission environment.

+ Experience with parts usage/demand analysis and accomplishments with right-sizing inventory levels.

+ Experience addressing DMSMS issues.

+ Experience maintaining an accident free workplace.

+ Experience leading team of comparable size and complexity.

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

+ Experience working with integrated maintenance and supply systems, analytical tools.

+ APICS CPIM a plus.

+ U.S. citizenship.

+ Active CBP Clearance a plus.

+ Ability to travel.

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.

Ability to travel.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

**Preferred Qualifications**

Bachelor's degree preferred.
